Yoga/Basketball

Basketball and Yoga Prior Learning will not be available starting this fall. In order to receive credit for your prior learning experience, documentation must be submitted to the Records Office by August 14th. Prior Learning documentation submitted after this date will not be accepted. 

Description: Students may submit materials for review to get college credit for being a certified Yoga instructor or a basketball referee

Submit scores: Students may submit unofficial copies of their material through the following Prior Learning Form. If the program plan(s) listed does not match your goals, please submit a program plan change form. 

Credit acceptance: Students may be granted a max of 30 credits or 50% of their program plan. In order for prior learning credit to be posted to an account, students must be in a HCC degree seeking program. 

The Records Office will only post prior learning credit relevant to your HCC degree. Posting irrelevant credit could negatively impact your financial aid and/or veterans benefits. Please contact Financial Aid for more information at FinAid@heartland.edu

Transferability:  Licensures/Certification prior learning credit may only be applicable to your program at Heartland and may not transfer. Please consult your transfer institution about transferability.
